One of the most embarrassing things that could happen in a conference call is something happening out of your control in the background. At Ignite 2018, Microsoft announced the general availability (GA) of Background Blur in Microsoft Teams that enables users to blur out their background in a meeting or call. According to Brad Sams at Petri, Microsoft is believed to be taking that one step further and allowing users to set a custom background for a meeting. This new functionality will be warmly welcomed by Teams users as it allows users to be more personal in video calls & meetings..

Microsoft just recently announced the blur feature for the consumer version of Skype, however, this has not been announced for Skype for Business users. Why I personally would love to see this happen for organizations running Skype for Business, it is in my belief that this feature will never see the light of day.
